So this past week was pretty interesting. Things were falling through
quite a bit, but for the most part, we got quite a few happening. I think I
mentioned how the water bills hadn't been paid for about 4 years at some point.
A couple weeks ago we paid them, and now they've shut off our water. So we've
been living out in Laprakë again. The house there is really nice, so it's not
too bad, it just stinks that we aren't living in our area anymore.
I've had to teach 3rd hour of church the past couple weeks because the
teacher has been gone or sick. The youth just came back from EFY, and this week
is a YSA conference. On Saturday, we had to wake up at 4:00 am so we could get
to the church by 6:30 to fill up the baptismal font by 10:30 am. Then, there
was another baptism at 6:00pm, so we just didn't empty it. There are these 3
brothers that are 26, 23, and 17 years old who are all members now. That's good
since we need some Melchizedek Priesthood holders for a stake.
On Sunday we were finally able to meet this guy who has been coming to
church for quite some time, but is not a member. He already knows a lot about
the church, and we're hoping to be able to set a baptismal date in the near
future. In our zone, there are 17 baptismal dates. That is pretty awesome. Many of those are set for 10 September. So we'll have a fun month.
Other than all that, not too much happened this week. Have a good
week.
Love,
Elder Wallentine
